KATHMANDU, MAR 11 - The Nepali Congress(NC) has nominated Champa Devi, wife of late Hari Bahadur Khadka, as the party candidate to contest the by–election from Baglung district constitutency-1. The Election Commission (EC) has slated April 11 for conducting the Constituent Assembly by-poll.

A meeting of the NC parliamentary board convened at Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday unanimously endorsed Champa Devi’s name to contest in the Constituent Assembly by-election, NC leader Gopal Man Shrestha informed.

The by-election is going to be held after a CA seat became vacant following the demise of  CA member Hari Bahadur Khadka in an accident.
